{"id":"CVE-2026-91136","published":"2026-10-10T09:16:39.360","lastModified":"2026-10-13T13:29:12.567","description":"The Divi Plus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Read in versions up to, and including, 2.4.0 via the 'svg_image' parameter of the /wp-json/elicus/v1/dipl-modules/svg-animator REST endpoint. This is due to the endpoint's permission callback (SVGAnimatorController::index_permission) returning true unconditionally combined with insufficient validation of the 'svg_image' input — sanitize_text_field() and esc_html() do not restrict filesystem paths, the file:// stream wrapper, or arbitrary URLs — before it is passed to file_get_contents() (with a wp_remote_get() fallback) and the raw response body is returned in the JSON 'html' field. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible.","cvssScore":7.5,"cvssSeverity":"HIGH","cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","cwes":["CWE-22"],"vendors":[],"products":[],"references":[{"url":"https://diviplus.io/changelog/","tags":[]},{"url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/2c0bbdf6-afaf-4194-ada2-24d142892c32?source=cve","tags":[]}],"exploitRefs":[],"hasPoc":false,"ai":{"summary":"The Divi Plus WordPress plugin has an arbitrary file read vulnerability in its SVG animator REST endpoint, allowing unauthenticated attackers to read any file on the server by manipulating the 'svg_image' parameter. This could lead to sensitive data exposure or potentially remote code execution.","exploitability":"The vulnerability is easy to exploit with no authentication required, as the endpoint returns true for all permission checks and doesn't validate file paths or URLs properly before reading files.","blast_radius":"The impact could be significant as attackers can read configuration files, database credentials, and potentially PHP source code, which may lead to full system compromise.","remediation":"Upgrade to version 2.4.1 or later to fix the arbitrary file read vulnerability in the SVG animator REST endpoint.","detection":"Monitor for unusual GET requests to /wp-json/elicus/v1/dipl-modules/svg-animator endpoints with suspicious 'svg_image' parameter values in web server access logs, particularly when they reference system paths or URLs that are not typical for SVG files.","tags":["file-read","wp-plugin","rest-api","unauthenticated"],"model":"garnet-coder","analyzedAt":"2026-10-18T10:12:19.415Z"}}
