{"id":"CVE-2026-63214","published":"2026-11-05T19:17:23.557","lastModified":"2026-11-05T19:17:23.710","description":"SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, legacy REST methods append an authenticated caller's query parameter as a SQL WHERE clause after insufficient structural validation. The affected flow begins at /service/v4_1/rest.php and uses get_entry_list, get_entries_count, and query to carry attacker-controlled data or authorization state into the security-sensitive operation. An account with list permission on a module can bypass the user_hash filter, retrieve password hashes and other database data, and use recovered administrative credentials to compromise the application. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.","cvssScore":8.8,"cvssSeverity":"HIGH","cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","cwes":["CWE-89","CWE-943"],"vendors":[],"products":[],"references":[{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM-Core/commit/a11f50180d939f639cc468b5d536e8ad714dfb68","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM-Core/releases/tag/v8.10.2","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/commit/d6bca97a0159ec019a969b86eca32affab3beb7c","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/releases/tag/v7.15.2","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/security/advisories/GHSA-gjgm-wrr6-hrmp","tags":[]}],"exploitRefs":[{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM-Core/commit/a11f50180d939f639cc468b5d536e8ad714dfb68","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM-Core/releases/tag/v8.10.2","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/commit/d6bca97a0159ec019a969b86eca32affab3beb7c","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/releases/tag/v7.15.2","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/SuiteCRM/SuiteCRM/security/advisories/GHSA-gjgm-wrr6-hrmp","tags":[]}],"hasPoc":true,"ai":{"summary":"In SuiteCRM versions prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, legacy REST API endpoints allow authenticated users with list permissions to inject unvalidated SQL WHERE clauses via query parameters, bypassing user-specific filtering and enabling unauthorized access to sensitive data including password hashes.","exploitability":"Exploitation requires a valid authenticated account with list permissions on any module; no elevated privileges or external access are needed beyond standard login credentials.","blast_radius":"Successful exploitation allows full database read access, including administrative credentials, enabling complete application compromise and potential lateral movement within the organization.","remediation":"Upgrade to SuiteCRM version 7.15.2 or 8.10.2 immediately; until then, disable legacy REST endpoints (e.g., /service/v4_1/rest.php) for non-essential users and restrict access via network controls.","detection":"Monitor for anomalous SQL query patterns in application logs where the user_hash filter is bypassed—specifically, requests to /service/v4_1/rest.php with get_entry_list, get_entries_count, or query operations returning data outside the caller's expected scope, especially involving sensitive fields like password hashes.","tags":["sql-injection","auth-bypass","crm","rest-api","sensitive-data-exposure"],"model":"garnet-coder","analyzedAt":"2026-11-06T09:54:54.872Z"}}
